 TO ARRIVE BY
AIR:
We are southeast of Chicago Heights VOR. We are on the Chicago
Sectional, and our development surrounds the Lake Village Indiana Airport. Set
your GPS for N41-09.0; W087-27.8 CTAF is 122.9, and our pattern
altitude is 1444 MSL, runway 18 or 36, left traffic. Field elevation
is 644.
 The
excellent sod runway is very wide and approximately one half
mile long, with an additional 1000 foot overrun for safety. The
runway is easy to see and is just south of the Kankakee River.
Our recent addition of night lighting makes it easy to fly into
Lake Aero Estates, day or night.
TO DRIVE:
We are located at the northwest junction of Highway US 41 and
Indiana State Route 10. Take Route 10 west a short distance and
you will see our entrance.
From Chicago
(approx. 65 miles):
Take Dan Ryan Expressway south to the Bishop Ford/Calumet Expressway.
On I94, take I394 South (Danville exit). Continue south past
Crete and Balmoral Race Park. You will merge with Illinois Route
1. Continue south on Route 1. South of Beecher, there is a junction
with Illinois 17. Stay on Illinois 17, past Sherburnville and
as you cross the Indiana state line, the road becomes Indiana
2. At the the stop sign (US Route 41) make a right (south). At
first stop light (Indiana 10) make a right (west). Approximately
200 yards on the north side of the street is the entrance to
Lake Aero Estates.
